The Donnybrook Lions Club is excited to announce the opening of the 2023 Community Grants Applications, providing community groups and not-for-profit groups an opportunity to secure funding for projects in the Donnybrook Balingup Shire. The grants aim to support initiatives that enhance the resilience and well-being of the local community with a preference for bushfire recovery and preparation plans in the 2023 round.
Through the Community Grants program, local organisations and community groups can access up to $3000 to develop projects and this year they would love to hear about projects that address the recovery from the January bush fires while proactively working towards a safer and more resilient future.
We would like to hear about a wide range of activities including but not limited to:
- Restoration and regeneration of bushfire-affected areas.
- Community education and awareness programs including bushfire prevention and safety measures.
- Mental health and well-being programs.
- Community events and/or equipment that encourages a positive community connection.
Applicants are invited to submit proposals by the 31st August 2023, outlining their projects and demonstrating how they align with the goals of the Community Grants program. The Donnybrook Lions Club welcomes ideas that foster community engagement, sustainability, and long-term benefits for the Donnybrook Balingup Shire.
